Book Check-Out

Students will bring home a new book each week from the Media Center. Parents should read the book to/with their child. Reading to your child is a wonderful way to help prepare them to become independent readers! Please keep the book in your child's book bag and return it to school. Students will not be able to check out a new book until they return the book from the previous week.  If a book is lost or damaged, the following fine must be paid before students will be allowed to check out more books. These fines follow students year to year and from school to school. Thank you for helping teach students to be responsible!

  • Lost or damaged book more than 10 years old: $10
  • Lost or damaged book less than 10 years old: $20

Kindergarten students spend time learning how to use Chromebooks in the Media Center throughout the year. Stephens County Schools' students are 1 to 1 with Chromebooks in grades 1st-12th.

"A good library will never be too neat, or too dusty, because somebody will always be in it, taking books off the shelves and staying up late reading them."
